The Millers
When the Millers moved into their new home in Thurlestone, South Devon, their first priority was to replace a tired-looking balcony and balustrade.
They wanted a solution that would complement the stunning sea views while providing practical outside space that felt both modern and timeless.
Our Approach
We began by carefully removing the old fencing and repairing the existing wooden structure. From there, we extended out with a brand-new stainless steel framework, creating more space for the Millers to enjoy.
Composite decking was then laid over both the old and new structures, ensuring a strong, low-maintenance finish.
To complete the look, we installed our Infinity balustrade system, giving them uninterrupted sea views. Mirror-polished stainless steel box section posts were also fitted, allowing timber fence panels to be seamlessly integrated with the balcony design.
The Challenges
- Incorporating traditional timber fence panels into a contemporary balcony system
- Extending the balcony over the existing framework without disruption or excessive cost
- Keeping the overall project within budget while achieving the high-quality finish the customer desired
The Result?
The combination of stainless steel, composite decking, and timber panels created a modern yet warm finish that perfectly complemented the coastal setting. Most importantly, the Millers were thrilled with the outcome.
